all debug options disabled (grey-ed out)

Hello there.

I have a board with 28335 and I used to be able to debug with the C2000LC. After I obtained a 100v2 and tried it out i found i could no longer use the debugger. First I thought it was the 100v2 problem but now I attached the 2000LC back it is the same behavior. when the debugger is launched, there is no error or warning, but under the /Target option, except the options for choosing debug profile, and a few on the bottom, all other options are grey-ed out and the debugger does not stop at main like it used to. 

 I have the project compiled with full debug symbol and the launch debugger works since the flash programmer actually burns the image. but after that, nothing happens.
