Entering upper-case 'X' in address field for new platform doesn't work

Hi,

I'm running CCS rev 5.1.0.09000

Go to Tools, RTSC Tools, Platform, New.

In the External Memory box for the new platform, enter a name then try to enter a base address. Type in 0X800000. You will see the first '0' and then it looks like something has gone wrong. If you happen to have Caps Lock enabled after entering an upper case name, and you enter 0x800000 you will see the same thing. Only if you enter a lower-case 'x' does the data when you entered appear on the screen. It's confusing if you don't realize that upper-case X is not accepted.

Annie.

  • Hi Annie,

have you tried CCSv5.1.1 or the 5.2 beta?  This seems to have been addressed as in both these versions, you are not even allowed to input the upper case X so this hopefully eliminates the confusion about case sensitivity.

Please keep us informed if you find the same.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa
