Hi,
I am working with C5515FDK kit with XDS510 emulator in CCS v 5.1. The snapshot of the error is given. I would appreciate any help in this regard.
Thanks in advance.

Assuming this is the kit you are using: http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/sprt550/sprt550.pdf
I believe it came with CCSv3.3. You are saying you could use this board with a Spectrum Digital USB510 Plus fine with CCSv3.3 but when you try CCSv5.1 then you get the error in your original post.
The web page for it mentions that it has an onboard xds100v1 emulator. I would like to know if this is working ok. i.e. lets establish if the board will work with CCSv5.1 at all. I recall people having issues with the JTAG adapter board that came with that board.
I tried the C5515 eZdsp with CCSv5.1 and seems to be fine. I will try to track down the fingerprint kit.

Can you share the document ,how to use c5515 kit with onboard xds100 emulator . Currently i am following instructions that came with kit. In that kit they mentioned use of xds 510 usb only.
Can share the document regarding how to use onboard xds 100 emulator I am working on this kit only .http://www.ti.com/lit/ml/sprt550/sprt550.pdf
Anka,
I managed to get a board out of our CCS test lab.
I verified that it works with the following Spectrum Digital emulators:
xds100v2
xds560v2 STM Traveller
xds510 usb plus
It worked fine with all of them in CCSv5.
One thing that I noticed is that the connection for the JTAG header is very sensitive. If it is even a little bit loose or off center then running the JTAG scan tests will fail. The other thing to check is that the little adapter board is on correctly. I believe some of the early boards were not keyed so you could put them on either direction, the JTAG adapter board should be coming back over top of the processor and not hanging over where the 3 buttons are.
If you run Test Connection from within CCS (open your .ccxml file and click on the Test connection button) what output does it give you?
Similarly what happens if you run SDConfig and test the connection?

John
Do you have an answer to the questions I asked?
Hi Anka,
If you have the FDKv1 with the mini-JTAG to JTAG adapter, the traces on the adapter have been the source of connectivity problems for at least one customer.
See a workaround here:
http://e2e.ti.com/support/dsp/tms320c5000_power-efficient_dsps/f/109/p/63933/233823.aspx#233823
For this reason, the manufacturer updated the JTAG with an onboard XDS100 in the FDKv2 (now has 2 USB connectors). See the differences in the boards below...
If you ordered the FDK within the past year, you should have received the FDKv2 with on-board XDS100 emulator.
FDKv1:
FDKv2:
I will ask that the online documentation is cleared up to avoid confusion.
Hope this helps,
Mark
