Graph tool of CCSv5 does not display float data

Hi,

I am using a TI Delfino TMS320C28346 and CCSv5 and I want to dispay via the Graph CCS a floating point (float32) vector.

When I try to use the Graph CCS on the float32 vector, this error message appear "float is 16. Only 32/64 bit usinged int supported" (See image below).

Is there a way for displaying floating point data?

Hi,

Check attached; I could show 32-bit floating point data on the Single Time Graph tool - I used the example code F2806_FPU_Hardware in the controlsuite.

Therefore I am not entirely sure what may be happening in your case; looking at your screenshot it indicates that you may be inadvertedly passing the address of the element instead of its contents.

could you try to plot an array of float?

I can also "plot" a single variable but i am more interested in plotting the whole array.

I sure can (check the screen below)... I wonder if your variable name is not being properly de-referenced by the graph tool...

I also send attached my simple test code that generates all this info. Could you give it a shot?

Hello,

Does the problem still occur in the latest version of CCS? Is it worth upgrading from version 5.1.1.00031 to avoid it?
