I have been advised by TI that CCSv4 is not particularly stable, a statement with which I concur. I have also been advised not to use CCSv5 to develop code for the Concerto chip for some unexplained reason. I have also been advised not to run CCSv4 on Win7. I attempted to run CCSv4 on a WinXP virtual machine on the Win7 platform, but it runs especially slow, and I see no reason to transfer my license.
When will TI provide a compatible version of CCS5 that will support Concerto?
Also, I have not been able to effectively debug my code as when I connect to Watch memory, my program will hang. There is no clean way to simply "Reset" and "Run" with this chip due to some problem in the silicon. When will this be fixed?
I am also having problems running a FreeRTOS task that seems to indicate that memory is not being managed properly. When will TI provide an example program that uses your own SYS/BIOS RTOS for Concerto.
I have asked before for help with an apparent interrupt conflict on the Concerto involving a SWI for the IPC and a UART interrupt., but have received no response,
Could someone please address these issues and give me a little help, My development effots as well as the purchase of thousands of these chip is now stalled because of these issues.
Thanks,
Pat
