Flashing Tool C6713 and CCS4

Hello everybody,

in CCS2 I used Flashburn utility to write my program to the external connected NOR flash. While I search this forum and google I saw that there are many flashing tools available for DM816x and/or from spectrum digital for the C55, but is there also a tool for C67 devices?

Edit: I just forgot to mention that I use the XDS510USB JTAG programmer.

There is a good discussion on how to flash code to the DSK6713 in this thread, which has also some details about hardware and dip switches in a follow up discussion.

Hi Max,

There currently is no support for external flash for C6000 (at least that i am aware of). We do have plans to support this in a future CCS release but right now there is no support. Sorry.

Hey Ki,

that's a great pity and makes the CCSV4 a little bit useless for C67 users (of course I am able to debug, but I cannot really debug the boot process from flash itself). However, just one more question: is it possible to start a debug session to the C67x via the dds scripting? If yes I can think of using the old FBTC and a small script to write data to the flash.

Yes. DSS is specifically for GUI-less debugger access.
