[]Help!]Rov log unable to be started in some cases

Hi ,

In my 4 CCS5 projects for 4 cores in one dsp, the ROV log can't be started for some cores while the other core is ok. There is basically no big diference on code size or ccs build settings (ccs 5.0.3, xdc tools 3.20.08.88, xdais 7.20.00.07) for these pjts with only difference on each core's cfg configuation. Since ROV can be used in some cores , so it should not be an installation issue and hence if  there is any other limitation on ROV log usage?

    Hi Gavin,

    I suggest trying out one of the later, supported version of v5. CCSv5.2 is the latest. Note that you will have to do a full install since incremental updates aren't supported with 5.0.x.

    Hi Ki,

    I noticed that there seems no ROV related fix update in CCS5.2 against 5.0.x (only a naming update) and hence I am not sure if the version upgrade can work for my ROV issues, epecially given that I already tried a CCS5.1 version today while with failure for any progress. So please help keeping the issue open for next step investigation. Meanwhile I will also try the CCS5.2 as your suggestion.

    Hi Ki and all,

    I upgraded to CCS5.2 today AND the ROV issue remained: unable to be openned while recompiling in CCS5.2. So I reckon there may be some limiation or usage requirement from the ROV. Unfortunately there is no any documents available. Could you help me?  Looking forward to your reply anxiously.

    -What target you are using?

    -What emulator you are using?
