Problem with RENEW SUBSCRIPTION

Part Number: TMDSCCSUB12ALLN01-R
Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Received an email with the instructions for installing renewal of the subscription.

When i try to install i said that the license is not valid

  • Hi Carlos,

    what CCS version(s) are you trying to use?  Note that CCSv4 and v5 are licensed separately, although a v5 license can be used with v4.  The reverse is not true.  If you are not trying to use a v4 license with v5, then  you will need to contact ccs_subscriptions@list.ti.com for further assistance.

    Best Regards,

  • Hi Carlos,

    just thought I would double check for any updates and to see if you got appropriate support from the license team.

  • Hello Lisa,

    I am also having problems with renewal.

    I originally bought a CCSv4 license, and it worked until my recent upgrade to CCSv5.2.  I looked in myRegistered Software, and my TMDSCCSSUB-ALLN01D-W was shown as expired.

    This week I purchased the renewal TMDSCCSUB12ALLN01D and entered my new activation ID for the expired subscription.  I got to the progress step that said "Renew Suscription Successful".  I got instructions emailed from TI saying:

    Install Instruction

    Code Composer Studio v4 -- UPGRADE TO v5 NOW AVAILABLE

    * * * * IMPORTANT: Effective 08 NOV 2011

    * * * * A new upgrade for Code Composer Studio is available.
    * * * * Before you save this TI License File (.lic) for v4, follow these steps.
    * * * * Go to www.ti.com/myregisteredsoftware
    * * * * Click on MANAGE. Click on Upgrade - Get New License.
    * * * * Look for two more emails from TI: a License File (lic) for CCStudio v5, and new instructions.
    * * * * Follow those instructions to install your CCStudio v5 upgrade.

    However, the subscription is still being displayed as expired, and I don't get any options to upgrade my license.  If I click "Get a Replacement License", it just sends me the CCSv4 license that I was already using.  It appears that there is no change in myRegistered Software after I entered my new activation ID.

    If I try entering the activation ID again, I get the error "You have already used this Activation ID. There are no additional activations allowed."

    What should be my next step to upgrade my license?

    Thanks,
    Chris Norris
