Stand alone DebugServer

Hello,

Is it possible to run a stand alone Debugserver without installing the complete CCS4?

How do you otherwise flash a C5509A dsp (without CCS) is there another tool to use?

    Christian,

    You can strip down the installation.  I think we force the IDE to be installed but you can unselect the compiler, BIOS, simulators, some of the emulation drivers...  If disk space is an issue you could then delete the eclipse folder from the installation.

    As far as standalone flashing tools there are some around.  For C5509A since this is external flash the choices are more limited.  There is a tool called Flashburn from Software Design Solutions Inc.  http://www.softwaredesignsolutions.com/

    The team in the C5000 forum may have some other options.
