Dear all,

I want to get function level profile information for functions in my application running on my hardware TMDXEVM6678LE.

Iam using and XDS560V2 Emulation.Please let me know the steps to follow to get profile info.

Hi,

The Multicore System Analyzer has a procedure on how to profile (in software) the functions by using hook functions. Check question 11.5 of the FAQ at:

Just FYI, later this year (don't know yet when) a product called XDS560v2 Pro Trace will be released and will allow you to perform hardware function profiling as discussed at this page.

Hi,

Thanks for the info.

But in simulator I could profile the functions, but in hardware I could not 'activate' the profile setup.Could you tell if I can do the same profiling using EVM,

or please tell if CCS doesn't support hardware profiling through profile set up menu in Tools.

Hi,

Sorry, only the simulator supports the full function profiler you used. The alternatives I sent before are the closest matches to a hardware profiler.
