i m using tms320f28335 processor with code composer studio 3.3, on building the target file an error occurs

"can't find file 'rts2800_fpu.lib"

i have searched all the way for this file, but i can't find it......

how should i remove this error

Hi,

The fact you can't find the floating-point library is probably because you have an older code generation tools (CGT) installed. Please check the page below that mentions you need CGT5.0.2 or newer to add native floating point support.

You can download these tools by accessing the Update Advisor webpage from within CCS.

can i download this rts2800_fpu32.lib file individually to use in CCS v3.3?

i hv searched al lthe way i can but i was not able to find it....

I recommend you download a whole compiler package and install it. I would not mix libraries from different versions.

You can download compiler version 5.0.2 (and greater) from here:

the code generation tool downloaded from the above given link is not supported by windows 7...

would u plz provide an alternate CGT which is supported on windows 7

The compiler itself is supported on Windows 7. What is not supported in CCSv3.3. If you have CCSv3.3 working with windows 7, then the compiler from that link should work fine.

there is no FPU (floating point unit) support available. while working with windows 7.
