Connection error to the OMAP-L138 SOM board.

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: AM1808, OMAP-L138

Hi,

I am a first timer in debugging and need to connect to the AM1808/OMAP-L138 SOM board in CCSv5 and do code optimization.

Do I need an external emulator to connect to the board for this ? Is there any other interface which can be used to connect the board ?

Thanks,

Deepak

  • Hi Deepak,

It depends on the exact board you are using and what type of debug visibility you need. For example, the L138 kit from LogicPD has an XDS100v1 on-board emulation built in. But you can only talk to the DSP since the XDS100v1 does not support ARM. Where as the AM1808 kit from logicPD comes with on-board XDS100v2 which DOES support ARM so you can use that to talk to the AM1808.

What is the exact board you are using?

    Thanks
