gmake: *** No rule to make target

Hi,

there is a new problem by using the CCS 5.2. If i exclude a file or folder to build and want it back later, this folder is not compiled anymore. There are no lines in the makefile and hence no object files generated. I cleaned and refreshed the project but still the same error message: "gmake: *** No rule to make target". I'm rewriting a big project and need to exclude from time to time specific folders. But with this bug it's impossible to work that way.

I can't seem to reproduce this with some simple projects I tried. Would you be able to attach a test case that can be used to reproduce this?

As a workaround, have you tried cleaning the workspace or importing the project into a new workspace?

Hi,

i solved the problem by left click on the folder in project folder Resource Configuration -> Reset to Default -> Debug Settings. After that the Files are correct included in the build. Curious: The settings on the files and folders were correct displayed in their build settings, but they weren't build. Only after this reset i get it correct working again. Is there some kind of background caching?

If you have any project workspace wherein you can compile the code with out any ccs related errors, copy the project that gives you gmake error to the this work space. then it should not give any gmake error.

Hi there,

In case if linked project file is unable to open in CCS, also this error pops-up!. So, if you have this error, its better to check if all the files are able to open in CCS. If they are not, add file links back!.

I was able to fix this by doing the following:

1. Closing my CCS workspace
2. Navigating o the project's directory
3. Deleting all files except for .cproject, .ccsproject, and .project
4. Reopening the workspace
5. Choose Build Project

I'm using CCS 6.1.1 to build for an MSP432 platform.

Hello,

This did not help either. Well I had previously backed up the files.

I have CCS Version: 6.1.1.00022. My directory includes I registered under Linked Resources.

The compiler reported: "../main_DS1631.c", line 2: fatal error # 1965: Can not open source file "i2c.h"

The compiler needs probably obvious indication for an own path. Now the compiler is also satisfied.

Is this a bug or feature?
