Problems faced with CCSv5.1

Hello,

While working with CCSv5, I sometimes encounter the following issues. Please help me to resolve them, there is a temporary solution for each, but please let me know if there is a permanent one.

1. When working with multiple projects, I add Link Order and Dependencies in PropertiesàCCS Build, but the options disappear after sometime, especially when I make some changes to the other settings.

I always need to set the options again after that.

2. I change the run time model options to tiabi, but they revert back to ti_arm9_abi by themselves, when I change some other option. Even if I revert back, the runtime model option ABI setting would remain ti_arm9_abi. Some warning should be displayed, at least!

3. I always have to do a clean build to resolve this problem: Stop: *** Missing Separator line 99 of abc.pp

Why does it happen again and again?

4. While importing multiple projects, I select the option ‘Apply to all selected projects of matching family’, but this option is just redundant, it doesn’t work! Anyways, I manually change the Compiler Version for each project separately.

Does that happen with others also or just me L

Thanks and Regards,

Jasmeet Kaur

  • Jasmeet,

Which version of CCS are you using? As we continually make improvements and fix bugs, I would recommend updating to 5.2 if you haven't done so already. If the issues you have reported are still reproducible with CCS 5.2, please provide additional details to help us recreate the issues.

We have heard of this happening a couple of other times but have not been able to reproduce it internally. If you're able to reproduce this again, could you please note the specific actions/changes you make that triggers this issue and let us know what it is?

Again, could you let us know what changes triggers the option to be reverted? If we can reproduce the issue, we can submit a bug report to get it fixed.

Can you send us a reproducible test case?

The screenshot did not come through properly. Could you please re-attach or explain exactly what you are referring to here?

  • AartiG,

I found the first three issues with CCSv5.1, I have not been able to reproduce them with 5.2 :)

For the 4th point, I have attached the sanpshot again. What I mean here is that, while importing multiple legacy 3.3 project, I need to manually change the compiler version for each project, even though I check the option  'Apply to All selected projects of the same family'. This is a small issue, but if you can look into it , it would be great!

If you select multiple projects, then click on Edit to change the compiler version, and enable the checkbox 'Apply to All selected projects of the same family', it will set it for all the selected projects. Please see my screenshot below.
