CCSv5.2 License Problem using Virtualbox

Hello,

I have a valid CCSv5 license running on my W7. I've also tried to install the CCS in a Virtualbox Ubuntu 10.04 LTS running on the same computer. After CCS installation, when I asked about the license file I get this error dialog:

For more information here's my Virtualbox Network configuration. Everything seems okay, what could be wrong then?

HI Gaston,

two things might be at work here

- first of all the MAC address associated with the license file is different to that of your virtual box. So you need to either force this to be the same as your windows MAC or else add the virtual boxes MAC to the license file. This might be related to the way you pipe your internet/connection through the Virtual Box. You should be able to add a second MAC address here

The MAC address associated with the license file and the MAC address of the Virtualbox are identical. You can compare the MAC address of the previous post with the next one extracted from www.ti.com/myregisteredsoftware:

I don't know what's going on. Any hints?

Hi Gaston,

I think you need to use the NAT network type with a VM. Please give that a try and keep us informed.

It does not work using NAT either.

I still get the same CCS License information View than the first post.

It really puzzles me...

Hi Gaston,

this is puzzling and unfortunately I am a CCS not a FlexNet person. Have you

- verified this is the Eth0 address of your Ubuntu installation?
- have you double checked installed the vm tools Flexera/Flexnet offers?

- checked your firewall settings?

It has been solved! You've hit the spot with the eth0 hint. I had forgotten that I previously cloned my virtual disk and here's an explanation about the results of doing this.
