DriverX for MSP-FET430IF

Everytime I try to uninstall the software on XP SP3 using the Add/Remove control panel, all it does is repair the installation. Are there manual install instructions or a dedicated uninstaller somwhere?

This is a bit urgent to work out. Thanks!

  • Hi Joshua,

what software are you installing/uninstalling?  CCS?  The MSP drivers should normally be well manged by CCS itself although there is the v2 and v3 dlls for which there is an upgrade/downgrade utility. Have you seen this wiki?  Can you explain exactly what you are doing?

  • This was an interesting situation that I resolved by doing a complete uninstall of CCS, both 5.1 and 5.2. I think that there was some version incompatibility between the drivers? I am honestly not sure, but after reinstalling 5.1 I am able to program. Unfortunately, I do not have any time to debug this further at this point.

Likely the problem is related to the upgrade/downgrade issues as mentioned in the wiki. Either way, it is working.

I would like to know whether or not there are dedicated, non-forum support for paid CCS licenses to actually call to resolve issues? In a production environment while the forums are nice, some problems do need to be resolved quicker.

    Thanks.

  • Hi Joshua,

glad to hear you are up and running.

Regarding your support question.  If you have an FAE/local agent this is then the best first point of contact for you.  Otherwise for technical matters, we find this the best solution.

    All the best with development.

    Best Regards,
