Data alignment pragma

Hi everyone,

I've got some questions regarding C55x C compiler. 

1. Does DATA_ALIGN pragma determine alignment in bytes or words? Compiler manual (spru281g, page 96) and HW FFT app report (sprabb6a, page 22) give contradicting informations.

2. Does DATA_ALIGNMENT pragma determine relative alignment within memory segment (as specified in linker script) or absolute alignment within whole address space?
