Unable to install CCS 5.2.0

Hi,

I have been looking on the forums for a similar situation to mine but to no avail.

I have attempted both the online and offline installers, but have received errors which prevent me from properly installing CCS.

I am using Windows 7 Enterprise 32-bit.

I do not know where to find the installation logs.

The online installer when attempting to install gives the error 'Invalid URL' with the message: 'Unable to access http://go-bradley.am.dhcp.ti.com/CCS5.2.0.00069_win32. Check your settings and try again.'

The offline installer attempts to install for a very long time (4+ hours) and ultimately fails, but gives the following messages during the installation process.

Edit:

The offline installation gives a 'Features not installed correctly' error:

One or more features were not installed correctly, Please look at the log C:/Program Files/IstallJammer Registry/ccsv5/60556Fe5-C1A1-4061-8Df8-FFB8393BAE2D/ccs_setup_5.2.0.00069_install.log for more information.

I had the very same problem with the 5.1 and 5.2 webinstaller. The offline installers always worked though...

Hi Tim,

please try again and keep us posted. I would recommend the offline installer. There were some known server downtime issues Monday.

Also be sure to unzip the installer first and use directories with no spaces or special/accented characters and antivirus turned off.

The installation files have been unzipped into a directory with the file name and path not containing any spaces or special/accented characters before installing. Antivirus software cannot be turned off as I am using a University computer. How can i upload the logs?

Hi Tim,

you should be able to attach them to a post here. What would help us is the contents of your installjammer registry folder (found under program files or program files(x86)).

Hi Tim,

I think the problem is likely the directory you use. I notice you use a path that includes "New Folder" ... this contains a space and is likely causing your issue. Please put the zip file and install to directories with no spaces. This includes the install zip file and how you unzip it.

I don't think that is the reason for the error as I have already put changed the path a while ago... the log seems to be incorrect.

The current path of the unzipped offline installation files is: 'C:\ccs5setup'

This may or may not be the updated log.3872.ccs_setup_5.2.0.00069_install.log

Tim,

can you please just send us the whole installjammer registre/ccsv5 directory contents? I think this may not be the correct log either unfortunately.

Hi Tim,

I'm sorry you're having issues with installation.

From the logs, it looks like you're over installing in the c:\ti folder. Is this correct? Do you know which version of CCS you had installed previously? I don't see any logs for the initial installation. Is it possible for you to delete the c:\ti\ccsv5 folder and try again?

Also, what is your TMP variable is set to?

Yes, I have attempted to install in under the 'c:\ti' folder.

Originally I had CCS 4.2.4 installed, but have already uninstalled it.

I will attempt to remove the ccsv5 folder and try again.
