could you possibly send the tidspssw log?  Any further details would also be great about how they have tried configuring things.

but he doesn't see a tidspssw log.

    Thanks,
    Alex

  • HI Alex,

are there any further details you can provide?  Have they looked for the tidspssw log in the license server installation folders?  These will not be in the ccs folders.

    Best Regards,

    LIsa

  • Hi Lisa,

2 pics attached. Second has appCrash.

    No file in there…

    But I did find this

  • Additional information from the customer:

We don’t have lmadmin installed. If I install it what will it do to the rest of my licenses that are running on that system ???

Note: on a Microsoft Windows system, the files <tidspssw.exe> and <.manifest> should be placed in the same directory as <lmadmin.exe>.

  • Hi Alex,

do they have a flexnet server running then?  How did they add the CCS license to it?  How do they have their other licenses setup?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

Yes, they have a flexnet server running on that server.

LMTOOLS.exe  runs 9 other FlexLM licenses on that server and that is what he is trying to use for CCS.

    Thank you,

    Alex

  • Hi Alex,

ok we still need details on how they set up the CCS license.   ..... How they tried to add it, what they experienced etc .. .any details would help.  How did they try to install the vendor daemon.

    Best Regards,

    LIsa

  • Hi Lisa,

Does the screen shot below help?

  • Hi Alex,

have they started the server?  What do they see under status?  How did they set this up?  We still need the details.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

  • HI Alex,

this does not seem to be an error message.  It looks like the server starting with no problem.  Do they still have problems?  How did they configure CCS?  Can we get any details about their configuraiton?

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

    From the customer:

    --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

What do you need to know about the install other then install location.. yes the server is starting..no ccs is not starting.. what do we need to do to get your license started ???

  • Hi Alex,

from what I can tell from the little information, the vendor daemon is running, has the license and they started it.  It is just a matter of pointing CCS to it.  These instructions are also here.  What exact problem are they having?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

  • HI Alex,

do you want to setup a webex?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hi Lisa,

Yes. At this point we spent too much time using e2e. What is the easiest way to set up Webex.

    Thanks,
    Alex

  • Hi Alex,

perhaps we can set it up offline.  If you can find a couple potential times from the customer that would be great.  You can connect with me offline here through the forum.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Taken offline and resolved conflicts with Symantic antivirus.

  • I have this same error

    From my log,

What was the solution? I have uninstalled Symantec but that did not help.

  • Hi Eric,

Have you tried restarting everything?  Are you sure there are no lingering antivirus/permissions problems?
