Cannot install CCS v. 5.2

Hello,

I have tried to install CCS versions 5.2.0 and 5.2.1 with no success. I downloaded the offline installer because I thought there might be issues with going through the company proxy server, but the installation still fails because it can't connect to the download server (not sure why it's trying to connect with the offline installation).

I'll preemtively answer the standard questions:

- did you redownload in case of corruption. yes -- even tried several versions
- did you turn off antivirus -- yes
- did you unzip the installer first -- yes
- did you use only directories with no spaces, accented or special characters -- yes
- did you have full permissions and avoid the program files directory -- yes
- did you fully remove the previous installation? -- there was no previous installation

The zipped InstallJammer ccsv5 directory is attached.

The system OS is Windows 7 64 bit.

ok we'll have a look. You might be being influence by our current issues with some unzip programs.

Hi Dan,

From your install logs, it looks like you're installing from the web, and you're definitely having issues with the proxy there. Did you download the full offline install package? It's about 1.2GB. Did you unzip the zip file and run the installer from there? If not, could you give it a shot, please?

Hi Danish,

I did download the full 1.2 GB package and I unzipped it to a directory D:\ccsinstall and ran ccs_setup_5.2.1.00018.exe from within that directory, but it still acts as if it's trying to install through the Web.

Hi Dan,

we'll get this sorted out - from the logs I see that you ran the installer D:\ccsinstall\ccs_setup_5.2.1.00018.exe. However, if you unzipped the folder with the directory structure intact, you should be running D:\ccsinstall\CCS5.2.1.00018_win32\ccs_setup_5.2.1.00018.exe. There should be a folder called D:\ccsinstall\CCS5.2.1.00018_win32\featurerepo, etc. Do you see anything like that?

Hi Danish,

Good catch! I had not, in fact, maintained the directory structure when I unzipped the archive. After correcting that issue, it worked fine.
