Graph with Code Compose Studio

Greetings TI community.

I'm working with a TMS320C6713 DSK and I've had some problems using the graph tool of code compose studio, the problem is that when I use a oscilloscope to visualize what I'm doing it works ok, if I use the graph of CCS (only that tool) it works ok but if I use both (oscilloscope and CCS tool) then both signals collapse and do nothing i wonder if there is any way to use both methods at the same time.

  • Hi,

    Really strange behaviour.

I can see a possibility of an oscilloscope causing an interference on the physical world (input/output signal) and the CCS graph would read that as a distorted data.

Conversely, the graph update process requires a great deal of data transfers from the target board to the PC, which halts the processor and could cause a distortion in an output signal read by the oscilloscope.

The only possible scenario I can think of having the oscilloscope and the CCS data capture mechanism fail only when working together is if you are using a USB oscilloscope. In this case, I suspect the USB traffic between the PC and the two USB peripherals (emulator and oscilloscope) is too heavy and therefore data clash may occur.

Is that your case? If not, do you have any additional details?

    Regards,

    Rafael
