License for CCS 4.2.0

Hi,

I recently bought an OMAP-L138 EVM Kit which came with CCSv4.2.0 installation CD. I have been using CCS for 2 weeks now, it seems that the license for it will expire in 15 days. I tried to get the license from TI webpage but it asks for Activation ID, I don't know where is located this ID on my board.

Does the CD come with license file OR how can I generate license file to overcome this problem ?

Hi Tariq,

an activation code is for a purchased license. I assume your evm comes with an XDS100 based or mezzanine emulator. Both of these should allow you to use CCS free. You should set CCS to use the "free limited license".

I would also recommend using the latest released CCS version.
