code composer v5 unable to install

I can not install CCS v5. . I have tried to install at least 8-10 times. I am running Windows 7 32-bit. I probably get 60% thru when I get "One or more features were not installed correctly. Please look at the log...." ]

I've tried different release of CCS v5 and I've re downloaded the offline installation files, there are no special characters or spaces in the installation path and I've kept the unzip file directory structure (C:\user\username\Downloads\cinstall\CCS5.2.1.00018_win32\ccs_setup_5.2.1.00018.exe). I do have admin rights on my computer and I have UAC turned off. I can not turn off McAfee.

In the log file, I did find this error: ERROR: com.ti.ccstudio.ccsinit.win32 state: feature downloaded - something went wrong with the install

    HI Elaine,

    could you please post the contents of your installjammer registry directory?  (found under program files or program files(x86)).

    This will help us try and debug.  I am wondering if it is either the antivirus, or what we have also seen is some incompatibilities with unzip utiliies.

    Hi Lisa,

    I used the unzip program 7-zip.  Should I try downloading a free version of winzip?

    The entire directory or certain folders/files? Is there an email address I can send it to rather than loading it onto the website?

    HI Elaine,

    you can start a conversation/friend request with me here and send it offline that way.  These files really help us debug. 

    Until then, one thing you can try is to use the built in unzip utility that is directly in Win 7.
