I received the error given below when I tried to upgrade from Code Composer 4.1.0.02005 to 4.1.3.0003. My OS is Windows XP Professional and the update was performed through the Help->Software Updates->Find and Install menu item.

Unable to complete action for feature "Code Composer Studio" due to errors.

Unable to create file "/C:/Program Files/Texas Instruments/ccsv4/eclipse/features/com.ti.ccstudio.product_4.1.3.00038/META-INF/MANIFEST.MF". [C:\Program Files\Texas Instruments\ccsv4\eclipse\features\com.ti.ccstudio.product_4.1.3.00038\META-INF\MANIFEST.MF (The system cannot find the path specified)]

Hi Stephen,

is there a particular reason you pull in that particular update? What about updating to 4.2.5? Do you have full admin privileges and antivirus turned off?

Thanks for the reply.

Code composer automatically selected that version. I am running Window XP professional at work, so I won't be able to log on as administrator.

Hi Stephen,

actuallly the error you get seems to indicate a problem writing to the program files directory. Is this where CCS is installed? Could you possibly send the contents of your isntalljammer registry directory? (found under program files or program files(x86)?

Would you consider installing 4.2.5 or the new v5 as an alternative?

Hello Lisa,

I got busy and forgot to respond.

I was finally able to upgrade code composer several weeks ago. The problem was caused by not having the correct access rights to the directory. IT corrected the problem.
