Hi,

I am using SpectrumDigital XDS560V2 STM for debugging OMAPL138 chip. Sometimes it would take a significant amount of time for content to be loaded into the device (and memory) and the progress bar increments slowly in steps like 13%, 16%, …, 97%, 100%. Much time is wasted in this process.

I have already configured “Target configuration” to use “Automatic with faster 35.0MHz limit”. If I set “TMS/TDO Output Timing” to “Rising edge allows faster TCLK” instead of the “Falling edge is JTAG standard”, then the connection would fail. So I reverted this option back to the default “Falling edge is JTAG standard”.

Is there any other option to make the loading time shorter?

Hi Paul,

Are you loading a program (*.out) or loading data (*.dat or binary file) from a file to target memory (via memory view)?

I am loading .out file into the memory (mostly to DDR2, a small portion to the internal memory of OMAP L138 chip).

And you are using some custom board with an L138 on it? And how large is the application?

It is a customized board, and the application is about 3M when loaded into memory.

It is strange. We got stuck in other issue in the past two days and didn't test this, but now it takes less than 5 seconds for a 2Mbytes project. Previously it goes like 1% or 2% for each increment. I tried but cannot reproduce the low loading process.
