dependency table vanishes

I know I am going to make a project change so I check out the .project and .cproject file before entering CCS v5.1.  The dependecy table vanished, so I re-entered every entry.  After making a successful  build, I made a slight change to the table and the file search path.  Build fails. Table is empty again. What gives?

  • Bill,

Are you referring to the list of dependent projects under Project Properties->CCS Build->Dependencies tab that seem to disappear? This issue has been previously reported a couple of times and believe it should be fixed in CCS 5.2.1. There is at least one related thread where the user confirmed the behavior occured with CCS 5.1 but not with CCS 5.2.1. Could you please update your version of CCS and give it a try? You can even install 5.2.x side-by-side with your current installation until you are comfortable moving to the new version. CCS can be download from http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS

  • CCS V5.2 takes an hour or more to import projects.  Mgmt has decided that would be unacceptable for most of our customers.  I will try 5.2.1 when I can get another PC to try that version.
