using USB auto switch for sharing single EVM

Hi, gurus.

I'm using single EVM6678LE, but would like to share this EVM with my colleagues for simultaneous development such as execution and debugging. This EVM has single USB JTAG, so I will try to use USB auto switch for several PC with CCSv5 each.

PC#1, PC#2, PC#3 --> (USB) --> use auto switch --> (USB) --> single EVM.

Have you ever experienced to use this USB switch for EVM? Did you get a success? What is the model name of the USB switch?

    Hi Sangchul

    as long as you are not trying to switch on the fly I see no reason at all why this should be an issue.  As long as a USB connection comes through and your PC sees the emulator there is no difference if it is coming via a switch.

    Thanks Lisa.

    My concern is not to connect PC#2 CCS to the EVM under connecting PC#1 CCS to the EVM simultaneously since PC#1 CCS occupies the USB JTAG of the EVM. I wanted to listen to your experience regarding USB auto switch on this configuration. I don't know which conpany's product is suitable for this. I don't have USB switch at this moment and have to buy it. I need a comment of eperienced hands for this configuration before buying USB switch.

    Hi Sanchul,

    unfortunately none of here use a USB switch and I technically can not really make third party recommendations.  As mentioned as long as there is a proper USB connection we do not forsee any issues.
