CCS V5.2 Support for 6678

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MATHLIB, TMS320C6670, TMS320C6678

I just installed CCS V5.2.1, and tried to create a new project, and it won't let me select 6678 as the device.  I choose "C66xx Multicore DSP" as the variant, and the only option listed is 6657.  If I try importing a 6678 project that was developed under CCS V5.0, I get the following error: "Description Resource Path Location Type RTSC product-type 'com.ti.biosmcsdk.pdk.C6678L' is not recognized. Please install at least one product of this type. loopback_test  loopback_test TI Problem Marker "

  • Hi Paul,

what device support did you select when installing CCS?  What do you see under window->preferences->code composer studio->build->code generation tools also the RTSC->products?

Can you check if there might be antivirus interference? Can you send a screencapture?

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • Hi Paul,

are you happy with things are they are?  Or would you like me to bring in colleagues and continue into this?

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • I am able to compile and download through JTAG now, so it's more a matter of interest.  I'm having unrelated issues with booting, which I'll deal with in a separate post.
