CCS V5.2 "Debugger Initialization Error"

Hi,

I have been using CCS Version: 5.2.1.00018 fine for a few months. But today, I get the following error messages when the Debugger is started. Please help me to check. Thanks!

Hi Allen,

did anything change when this started to happen? Have you tried regenerating the ccxml or deleting the projects metadata? Are there further clues you can provide?

Hi Lisa,

I didn't notice any changes before the problem occurred. Just started the debugger as I have done for the same project in last several months. I have not tried to regenerate the ccxml or deleting the projects metadata. Should I try to do that?

One clue is that, when the problem first occurred, I have two CCSs running with two different WorkSpaces and projects - but only state the debugger from one CCS. Both CCS workspace and projects work fine for months before the problem occurred. I have tried to create new workspace - still failed with the same messages.

I have run "chkdsk" from window XP console - still failed with the same error messages.

Should I try to re-install the CCS?

Hi Allen,

I would first try redoing the ccxml and deleting the .metadata. Please keep us informed.

How did you make ccs well?

I may have a different "Debugger Initilization error" probelm. Here is the error messag I get:. I tried deleting .metadata and imprting a copy. getting same error.

Also, I took a copy of the code to another computer and copy of of CCS, imported and it debugger fine.

I should have said imported the code to a different computer and copy of CCS.

My problem is the CCS not working is in a remote computer and I need to modify the MSP430 code on that remote computer.

Any suggestions?

I have a problem,that my debugger is not getting initialised for CCS. I have used the same project and worked with with for a while,but suddenly today I am not able to debug my project.

I have done the fsclean,I have deleted the metadata and worked with a new gel file also.All of these are of no help.

Please help me with this.
