New Guy Question, Setting up CCS on Linux for MCSDK

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: MATHLIB

Hi,

I a new guy porting a system from Analog Devices (TigerSharc) to TI C6678 multi-core environment so I'm experienced in one trying to learn the other with the benefits and pitfalls of that situation.

I'm trying to setup a Linux workstation to do development.  I have installed CCS 5.2.100018.  I installed MCSDK version 2.01.00.03.  When I ran CCS after install MCSDK it seemed to find the new libraries and asked to "register" them.  After the process I still don't see things like MCSDK, mathlib, dsplib, in the discovered tools area when I do a "Widow/Preference" and expand "Code Composer Studio/RTSC/Products".  I've tried variations of adding them manually to the "Tool Discovery Path" and that does not seem to help either.  How do I get these things registered?  On another Windows machine it seems to work.

Another question:  Once register how do I start using something like mathlib.  Do I have to add something to include libraries?  Add libraries to link?

Thanks,

Terry
