CCS crashes Just after startup

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: CCSTUDIO

Hi

I am using CCS first time and installed it now.  I am using Ubuntu. When I start CCSv5, it crashes after start up. After start-up there comes a window which asks for type of license you want and then crashes before a second. Please do let me know, If I am missing something.

  • Hi Amit,

could you please provide further details

    - did you see any problems while installing?

    - do you launch ccs the same as you installed?  (ie installed as sudu, launch as sudo)

    - do you get any error logs you can send?

    - what device support did you select?

    - what version of CCS are your trying?  Full installer?

    - do you have proper proxy/internet connection?

    Further infomation would help.

    Best Regards,
    Lisa

  • Hey,

I didn't see any problem while installing. I installed as sudo and I am launching it from Application Menu. It just gets crash after starting and have pasted the dumped logs already.

I am trying full installer of CCSv5

    Along with CCSv5 (5.2.1.00018). I installed bios_mcsdk_02_01_00_03_setuplinux and ti_emupack_keystone1_setup_1.0.4.0

Should I have installed different versions ?

I do have proper internet connection.

    Thanks

    Amit

  • Amit,

This type of problem can be cause by missing dependencies on Linux. Are you using an x64 or x86 version of Ubuntu and which version? If you are using an x64 version, could you check that the ia32 libs have been installed?  There are some notes about issues with specific UBuntu versions here.
