Unable to connect to Beagleboard-xm with XDS100v2

Hi,

I am using a beagleboard-xm and JTAG XDS100v2. I am facing some connection problem:-

C64XP_0: Error connecting to the target: (Error -1178 @ 0x6D) Device functional clock appears to be off. Power-cycle the board. If error persists, confirm configuration and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 5.0.747.0)

Also I need to debug uImage. Please suggest what could be the problem.

Regards

Suraj

  • Hi Suraj,

what OS do you use?  What exact CCS version?  How have you been trying to connect?  (ie ccxml/project settings) Have you been simply connecting directly unmodified to the kit?

Have you simply been trying to work with a demo/example?

Any further info would help us help you.

    Best Regards,

    Lisa

  • what OS do you use? - Linux kernel

What exact CCS version? - 2.6.37

How have you been trying to connect?  (ie ccxml/project settings)

    - .ccxml

Have you been simply connecting directly unmodified to the kit?

    - I am using a customised OMAP3 (Beagleboard-xm)

Have you simply been trying to work with a demo/example?

    - Customised board.

Connection is working but the error is different now:-

Cortex_A8_0: Trouble Writing Memory Block at 0x48004c10 on Page 0 of Length 0x4: (Error -1065 @ 0x48004C10) Unable to access device memory. Verify that the memory address is in valid memory. If error persists, confirm configuration, power-cycle board, and/or try more reliable JTAG settings (e.g. lower TCLK). (Emulation package 5.0.747.0)

Do you have any demo how to debug Beagleboard-xm with CCS using XDS100v2?

    Regards

    Suraj
