Adding MSP430,C2000 devices to existing CCS

Hi All,

I'm using CCSV5, while installing I had selected only ARM devices but now I want to work on MSP430. Is there any possibility to add MSP430 device in the existing CCSV5

    Hi Mithun,

    you can rerun the installer into the same directory and it should give you an option to modify the install.  You can then add support for these devices.

    Please also make sure you consider licensing.  If you are using the free limited license for the XDS100 at the moment, this is not appropriate for the msp430.  In which case you will likely want a second install or a full license.

    Perhaps you could assist me here with this question that I posted recently, as it is similar :

    Good day,

    I have been using CCS V5.4 for developing using the MSP430 devices, no problems here, however I would now like start using the C2000 (Piccolo series).

    For the MSP430 work I am making use of the "Code Limited" license version, which won't allow me to use the C2000 series.

    Also if i install CCS V5.4 for the C2000 series then the MSP430 series is not available.

    Must I install 2 versions of CCS V5.4, one for each series (in a different location)?

    Will this work?

    Or what is the best solution, without having to purchase a license?

    I haven't tried the the dual installation because I am busy with critical development using the MSP430 series, and can't afford to lose this working setup.
