using release build configuration for optimization

i am using OMAP L138 experimenter and CCS v5.1 with blackhawk XDS560v2 USB system trace emulator . my application is a time constraint. i have to increase the performance for real time implementation. i changed the build configuration to release mode and also the platform board and get the the .out file. but, i didn't find a way to load it and run it on the kit?

can somebody help me, how to load and run the .out file on the OMAP L138 experimenter with CCS v5 on release mode?

  • Hello,

A build configuration really is just a copy of your project properties. How you would use the Release configuration is the same as Debug. The key thing is to make sure the properties in the Release configuration was correct. Just because it says "Release" doesn't mean optimization is enabled and such. If the properties look good, you should just be able to press the "Debug" button to start the debugger and load your application.

    Thanks
