Hello,
I have a TMS320F2810 target, that I've ported our CCS V 3.3 project over to CCS V5.1. I'm having a lot of trouble connecting to the target, using CCS V5.1 It sees the USB emulator, as shown in the next 2 images.
Here is my Target Configuration
But when I go under the debug menu, it won't allow a connect (grayed out):
I know a connect is possible, because sometimes after trying a variety of commands, and sequences, a connect finally occurs. But it's rare, and uncertain what that required. I can't find a consistent sequence of steps to accomplish it.
Note that this target has CSM password protection, but that should only effect erase/download, not the initial connect. Also, this project and target could connect always, under CCS 3.3, and using the same emulator.
