CCS 5 Floating Licence + Vendor Daemon Problem

Hello,

Is there a minimum lmtools version required for a CCS v5 license file?

We have been running a CCS v4 license and when applying the new v5 license we receive the following error.

Any suggestions on how to fix this?

Well the picture seemed to be there before i posted this but the error is

"The desired vendor daemon is down. Check the lmgrd log file or try lmreread."

Hi,

The CCSv5 license file does not require any minimum version of the lmtools, therefore the problem is somewhere else.

Usually a CCSv5 license supersedes a v4 - i.e., CCSv4 is compatible with a v5 license. What I can't recall is if v4 and v5 licenses can coexist in the same server. Did you try to run the server with each license?

In addition to that, did you check the lmgrd log file (as the message says) and see if you can get additional insight on this issue?

Usually this error message indicates there is a problem with the license file itself. The page below has very interesting tips to investigate possible errors:

I'll check what is the correct procedure in case v4 and v5 licenses are used.
