Unable to install CCS - installer does nothing

Hi,

I am unable to install Code Composer Studio on my Windows 7 machine. After launching ccs_setup_'version'.exe nothing happens - no errors, warnings or any messages. Sometimes information pops that CCS is already installed, but it's not - I got this info when trying to install the very first time.

Further information:

-Windows 7 professional 32bit, UAC and antivirus temporariliy disabled,

-CCS versions tried: 5.2.0.00069(online installer), 5.2.1.00018(online and offline installer)

Hi!

Already read that. Unfortunetaly no point describes my problem. I don't have 'InstallJammer Registry' directory in Program Files - propably installer crashes before some logging functionality is enabled.

Hi Jakub,

did you check program files(x86) and unhide all folders? The installjammer registry one is usually a hidden folder. It would be valuable to help debug. What unzip utilities to you have installed? Did you try redownloading in case of corruption?

Hi Lisa,

I think I found the problem which is similar to the one described in: http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/192547.aspx

I use junctions. My users directory is linked to the other partition.

I hope that TI will cope with the problem in future releases.

yes, the installer can not handle junctions unfortunately. You are not the only one affected so hopefully going forward ...
