Change Code Composer lic to evaluation.

I installed Code Composer when I received my msp430.  I would like to change the lic. to evaluation for my stellaris launch pad.  How can I do that?

    Hi,

    Is your current installation one of the code size limited version? If so, you can't change the license to work with Stellaris and keep working with your MSP430 tool (unless you have a paid license) - you will have to choose. Considering you are using CCSv5, to change your license you can set CCS to use the Free Limited License by going to menu Help --> Code Composer Studio Licensing Information --> Upgrade --> Launch License Setup. One detail: you will need to be sure you installed the Stellaris components as well (not only MSP430 support).

    However, if you can spare the extra hard drive space for a secondary CCS installation (and a secondary workspace), I would recommend that. This will allow you to keep your previous known good development environment intact (as well as the MSP430 tool functionality) and allow evaluating the Stellaris board.
