CCSv4 code limited to CCSv5 ?

I just did a computer upgrade
I was using CCSv4 to develop code on a F2809 and F28027, where I was using CCSv4 with a limited code size license.

Now I would like to use CCSv5 with the same kind of licence since my code does not go over 32KB (16-bit).
What is the solution proposed to me ?

I am now on Windows 7 and I use SDFlash utilities to program the devices

The code size limited license for C2000 has been removed in v5. However there are other free options. What emulator are you using?

Pat,

CCSv5 does not have the code size limited version for F28x devices anymore, but instead it is locked to the emulation technology you are using:

- If you are using XDS100-class emulators or any development board with built-in emulation, then you can select the Free Limited License.

- If you use a XDS510 or XDS560-class emulators, a license purchase is necessary. The bright side is that now the CCSv5 complete version (with support for ALL devices) starts at $445.00 and on (check the prices here).

Sorry but besides the 90 day eval license, you will need to full license to use that emulator with CCSv5. If you want a permanent free option you will need to stay with CCSv4.

Ok, thanks to you guys for quick answers

I will try the free evaluation version and buy it if I like it. I hope I will find there improvements on all the problems I got with CCSv4 and breakpoints and ctools issues...
