I'm a hobby user and just received my Stellaris LP's. I already have CCS v5 installed, but it only has the MSP430 tools and the 16KB limited license.
Do I need to have two versions of CCS installed to support the different licensing models? I tried running an install on my current location to add Stellaris support, but the licensing options are "Code Size Limited" and Free License for Stellaris. I can't choose both. I found an old thread suggesting this would be possible in 5.1, but that doesn't seem to be the case.
Just trying to figure out what the best route is before I run another ~3GB installation of CCS.
Hi,
Yes, you will need two v5 installs. Please check the thread below:

The bright side is that you only need to install Stellaris support, which considerably brings down the disk space required.

Rafael
The only potential option on a single install would be to launch the license manager every time you switch devices but that is both less recommended than my colleagues approach and probably less convenient. The code size limited used to be a separate program/installation anyhow.
In case you ever need it, the license manager can be found in Help->Code Composer Studio Licensing Information .. manage tab.
All the best with development,
Lisa
