Hi Thomas,
have you given it a try? There is no official support for those operating systems however it is possible they may be ok. I would simply give it a try. Unfortunately we are unable to test CCS on every single OS variety.
Please keep us informed how it goes.
Best Regards,
Lisa
Hi Lisa
As the project building in normal PC which is running on windows XP/windows 7 is too slow
as one of the solve method, customer want to buy windows server to run some huge project.
So customer asked TI to provide a offical clarification on the OS support or not
You know, even CCSv5 can be installed successfully on windows server, but it can not say that all the subsequent development in CCSV5 on windows server are always OK. at this point, we need more info and help from CCS team
Thank you very much
Thomas
Hi Thomas,
speaking with some official development colleagues I can only repeat we do no officially support the Windows Server OS, however it will likely work. There is not much furhter we can comment as these are a group of OSs we don't really get a chance to test. This is direct from devleopment.
A Server for CCS seems a bit of overkill though. It might be interesting to see if there might be consideration for a couple high end Win 7 pcs for example.
Best Regards,
Lisa
