how to view cp15 registers in CCS5.2 with xds100v2?

I am using xds100v2 emulator to debug some code on beagleboard-xm (DM3730).

I am wondering if there is a way to view the values of cp15 coprocessor registers.

I can not see them in registers view of debug window by default setting.

I see a guy mentioned adding those registers directly to the watch view in http://e2e.ti.com/support/development_tools/code_composer_studio/f/81/t/113396.aspx.

But I can't figure out how to do this.

Please help. Thanks.

Hi,

As Aarti mentioned in the other post, you can simply type the name of the desired CP15 register in the Expressions view (CCSv4 Watch view = CCSv5 Expressions view).

The names of the registers are listed in the same file as mentioned by Aarti, but the location changed to:

C:\ti\ccsv5\ccs_base\common\targetdb\Modules

Thank you Desouza. I got these registers shown in the expression view.

Is there a way to make all of them shown in the register view or expression view automatically instead of typing the names by hand?

Hi Hao,

You should be able to.

In the debug session, go to View -> Registers. It lists all the core registers of the CPU
