CCS5 & eclipse version

All:

One reason TI gave for moving from CCS4 to CCS5 was that CCS5 was based on the latest version of eclipse (3.x).

Now that eclipse has moved from version 3.x to version 4.x, what are the impacts to CCS, if any?

    Todd,

    The Eclipse landscape is a bit interesting right now.  There are actually 2 Eclipse streams 3.x AND 4.x.  Next year they will stop the 3.x stream.  CCS is currently using the 3.x stream.  The latest 3.x release is 3.8 and CCSv5.3 picks that up.

    We have been evaluating the 4.x stream for a while now and will move to this but not immediately.  Right now our plan is to move to Eclipse 4.x in 2H13.  Basically we need to work with the community on addressing some performance and other concerns before we can make the switch.  We have versions in house already.
