Support ARM microcontrollers in CCS

Hello.

I download CCS version 4.2.4.00033 Code Size Limited. I use microcontrollers Stellaris family. But why I generate new progect list Project Type have only C2000 and MSP430.

What wersion CCS need download to use microcontrollers Stellaris family?

  • Hi Arseny,

you are correct, if you downloaded the code size limited microcontroller version of CCSv4, there is no ARM support or support for anything but the msp430 and C2000.  In order to use ARM, Stellaris, C6000 and other devices you  will need either CCSv5 or the full version of CCSv4.  Both of these full versions will support all devices including ARM, msp430, etc etc.  Having said that, these full versions can be limited based on your choice of licensing.  For example, if you set up an installation of v5 with the free limited license, that is for use with the XDS100 and some EVMs.   That license will not allow msp430 use.  Have a look at these two wikis

Hope this helps and please keep us informed.
