Hi, I downloaded an Full Feature evaluation version of the Code Composer Studio V 5.2.1.00018, When I try to debug my code it gave me this error.

C28xx: Error initializing emulator

Since I'm a new user of the CCS, I don't know what I need to do to fix it.  Can anyone help me with this matter.

    Hi Jovanny,

    we will need some further details to help.  Can you please provide more information on what you are trying to do?  What target you use?  How have you set up your target configuration? (.ccxml file)  Are you trying an example?

    Hi Jovanny,

    have you tried an example?  Are you using the F2810?  What hardware do you have and how have you connected the emulator?  What OS are you using?  Is it that exact XDS510 you use?

    Hi Lisa,

    My intend was to simulate the TMS320F2810, because I don't have the hardware to evaluate.

    So far I selected the F283x CPU Cycle Accurate Simulator, but I'm unsure if I can use it to simulate the TMS320F2810.

    Can I use that one, or there are another one available to use?

    Hi Jovanny,

    ah, although there is no simulator for your device, if you want to use a simulator, you need to select "Texas Instruments Simulator" as the connection type in your drop down menu.

    Unfortunately this means there is likely  nothing further we can do for you at the moment.

    Do you know where I can find an Evaluation Board for this device (TMS320F2810.) or close to?  I need to buy one.
