    Hi Meghana,

    I recommend downloading the latest version of CCSv5 from this site:

    http://processors.wiki.ti.com/index.php/Download_CCS

    When installing here are some tips

    - use the full installer if at all possible and unzip it first

    - do not use any directory with an accented/special character or a space

    - double check whether you can temporarily disable antivirus and also make sure you have full admin privileges

    - consider if you feel your code will be "small" enough to select the msp430 free code size limited license
