CCSv5 problem with building a working project from CCSv4

Other Parts Discussed in Thread: TMS320VC5505

Hi,

We have been working with the TMS320VC5505 processor for a while now,

we have built and configured CCSv4 to work with our project:

-defining a Huge memory model and setting a 32 ptrdiff_size

Recentley we've tried to use CCSv5.2 but were unable to build the project.

after setting the above configuration we still receive an error massage regarding the memory space:

#10263 SARAM0 memory range, etc.

We've noticed that when trying to set  the ptrdiff_size to 32, the GUI button does not show the selected value.

any thoughts?

What is/are the specific error messages? Can you copy and paste the output of the CCS build console to a text file and attach it here?

Another thing to check is the version of compiler tools being used for the build. This may be different between CCSv4 and v5, so check if they are, and a good test might be to set CCSv5 to use the same version of compiler tools as CCSv4 and verify that the build is successful.

This wiki has information on how to have CCS detect and use a different version of compiler tools that the default installed.
