CCS 5x - How To Display Stack Trace - With Stack and Sysstack (for '55x series)

That is a call stack.  It is not a stack trace.  I have included what an actual stacK trace looks like here:

And Archaeologist, I totally agree with you - not being able to display the stack and sysstack for the '55x5 family is a real issue.

So, can you do a real stack trace with CCS 5x or not?

And, as Archaeologist has pointed out - to be useful in a family like the 'C55x family - the stack and sysstack need to be displayed simultaneously to be effective in debug.

You may be referring to the C55x Trace FIFO plugin (that is the only tool I can think of) but that was last supported in CCSv3.3

Sorry, I don't think there is any other tool in CCSv5 to display the info that you are looking for

Is there a way to make an enhancement request to get the stack and sysstack - stack traces supported in the current CCS 5.x?

I will file an enhancement request for this. But I must be honest and say that getting resources to implement this request will be difficult (one of the reasons why the this plug-in was dropped in v4 and greater).

I know this thread is old - but can you reply as to the status of this?

I have had a code request regarding the '5535 and it involves needing this - so; if you can give an update; that would be great. I suppose it'll be obvious what the status is soon as I will convert the older project over to CCS 6.X soon.
