Cant find TMS 570 processor in CCS 5.2 simulator version.

Hi,

we want to use simulator for TMS-570-LS0432/0332 ( ARM 7 TDMI ) but didn't found it in CCS 5.2.1.00018.

what should be the process to follow in CCS 5.2 (simulator) to use/get  TMS-570-LS0432/0332.

attach snaps may be helpful to identify the problem.

  • Create a new Target Configuration File

File -> New -> Target Configuration File

Select "Texas Instruments Simulator" as the connection type

Select "ARM7TDMI CPU Cycle Accurate Simulator" as the device (there are both Big and Little Endian versions.

Note that these simulators are very old and we generally recommend that you use the real device instead.

Also are you sure you want the ARM7 sim?  Most TMS570 devices like the LS0432 are are Cortex R4 based.

  • Hi , We are using TMS570LS043x (Cortex-R4 family). In the simulator dropdown list, I'm selecting Cortex-R4 CPU Functional Simulator, Big Endian. Please correct me if I'm wrong. This should work right?
