XDS200 Driver problem

Hi,

Below is my system configuration.

OS: WindowsXP
CCSv5
Ti_emu_packv5.0.838

When I connect XDS200 board with my machine, PC does not detect XDS200 properly. Please see error in attached jpeg file.

Could anyone please help me to resolve this issue ASAP?

We found this issue on 2-3 windowsXP machine. Till now on windows7 XDS200 works fine.

Thanks & Regards,

Rakesh Modi

  • I hadn't tried one of these on XP before so I setup a machine.  I was able to get it going ok.

The machine I was using was XP 32bit

    CCSv5.2

I installed the latest TI Emulation update 899

I then plugged in the XDS200

It went through 2 new hardware detection cycles.  The first for the XDS2xx emulator CDC Serial Port and then the second for the XDS2xx User CDC serial port.  For each one it first asked me if it was ok to check windows update and then brought up a dialog about automatically finding and installing the driver, then it talked about the driver not being signed and asked if it was ok to continue anyway.  After doing that both of the items show up under Ports.

I would try right clicking on the User CDC serial port and uninstalling the driver.  Unplugging the emulator and then plugging it back in.

  • hi JohnS,

    Thank you in advance.

  • hi JohnS,

    Problem has been solved.

XDS200 usb driver has been installed , when I updated ccsv5.2 to ccsv5.3.

    Thank you all the same.

  • Hi John,

Is there a way to force the XDS200 driver installation?
Using CCSv6 on Win7 the XDS200 driver does not seem the be installed or found.

    See below picture:

Where is the driver file located so that I can manually install it?

I am trying to use the XDS200 through an AnywhereUSB (for Ethernet to USB interfacing). The XDS200 is detected when connected to the AnywhereUSB but the drivers can not be found.

I tried as well with the BH USB560 (in fact LAN560 but used via USB) on the AnywhereUSB and in this case the driver is found and installed successfully.

  • Anthony,

You could try right clicking on the inf file in \ccsv6\ccs_base\emulation\windows\xds2xx_drivers and selecting install.
